In Home Rug Try On Sessions are now available at Velvet & Shag!
Sometimes it’s easier to decide on a major rug investment if you are able to touch, feel, and see it in your own home. Rug try on sessions make that possible. Here’s how it works:
- Shop the website or come into the shop to determine up to five (5) rugs that you would like to try out in your home. (Sorry, this service is only available for runners, area & oversized rugs.)
- Click to purchase the service for a nonrefundable fee of $50 and make sure you include your email address so I can contact you to schedule a time & reserve the appropriate rugs. If you choose any of the rugs that you try on, then the $50 will be used towards your purchase. This specific fee applies to the Thurston County, WA area. If rug try on is requested in adjacent counties, the fee will be scaled as necessary to accommodate for additional fuel and driving time.
- We work together to schedule an appointment time for me to bring the rugs to your home.
- I will reserve your requested rugs about 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time. If any of your desired rugs sell out before the 24 hour reservation period begins, then you will need to pick out new rugs. If you don't want to miss out on a particular rug that may potentially be sold before the reservation period, then you can purchase it. I can refund you during the visit if you decide against buying it.
- On the day of your scheduled session, I will bring the rugs to your home so that you can spend approximately one hour placing them in your desired locations and deciding which ones work best for you.
- Once you decide on your rug(s), I will check you out right there on the spot through our online POS portal.
- That’s it! It’s all yours. No shipping, delivery, or returns necessary. Time to think about that next space you want to buy a gorgeous vintage rug for. 😊
