Julie worked with us to find the perfect rug to cover damaged wood floors in our kitchen. She collected dozens of options for us. The rug was reasonably priced and came faster than we expected. We have been so happy with how it has transformed the space.
Julie has the coolest little shop with big taste. I knew when I was ready for an update I wanted to work with her. She personally came to my house to consider my space and needs. She presented me with several options, all photographs, worked with my budget, made suggestions I would not have considered and got me to commit to and pay the full price, sight unseen. That takes confidence from her and a leap of faith from me! When my rugs were delivered they more than met my expectations. They are gorgeous and I love them every time I see them. Perfect for my home! I will work with Velvet & Shag on my next project as well.
I love this little rug so much! It is perfect for my closet space that actually only shows half the rug anyway. It’s easy to keep clean, I love that it’s vintage and unique, and the colors are so lovely. I didnt even see the dark purple accent til I got home, which works with other colors in my closet. It was fun looking at it with owner, Julie. She saw it as a chandelier and I thought it was a lady with long legs - haha!
Let me tell you …This pillow is bringing my space to life .. it’s so beautiful the structure is so great. I can’t say enough good things about this shop … run do not walk to the sales folks. Velvet and shag will forever have me lurking to see what I can treat myself to ☀️☀️☀️
I bought this rug because I liked how it looked and figured my sunroom, more a work/exercise space, would be a good floor for it. Once it was down I was motivated to revamp the whole room into a sitting/reading/recording/study space. Before and after pictures below.

So obsessed with the pet mat. It’s the perfect size for our dog’s bowls & finally an aesthetic that matches our space. The colors are so vibrant & with it being a rug, it absorbs water drips nicely and easy to clean.
Love the coasters, they are made from old rugs and each was different, edge stitching seems nice and strong, happy with them!
I LOVE my Moroccan duffel bag. It was even more beautiful n person! It has plenty of room with nice lining inside including pockets. I recently used this bag on a 4-day conference and it had ample room for everything I needed!

We have now bought two rugs from V&S and love them both so much. They're clean, vibrant, and high quality. Julie is also the best to work with - we used the home visit service and were able to view five rugs in our house before deciding on this one. It is wonderful to have her expertise and excellent eye. These are also extremely reasonable prices considering what is on offer. I'm so glad we have this business so close to where we live!
