Care & Maintenance of Your Handmade Rug

The easiest most effective way to maintain your handmade rug is to vacuum it on a regular basis.  On occasion, it is also a good idea to vacuum the back.  Even though these rugs are very durable, you may opt to turn the vacuum brush off.

If an accidental spill occurs and you need to spot clean, we recommend trying to first just use water and a cloth.  If that doesn't do the job, you may need to try using a gentle cleaner like a liquid castile soap mixed with water.  A gentle dishwashing detergent might also help, but always test a spot first to make sure no permanent discoloration occurs from the cleanser.
